Lean Production Training

Lean principles build the foundation of production systems. Therefore, companies that want to successfully increase their competitiveness rely on them. The consistent customer-orientation and the focus along the whole value stream is the basis for all analyses, methods and tools that are adopted in Lean Production.

The course gives insight into the development of production systems and the success factors of Lean Production in comparison to other systems. Participants learn how the interaction of all factors leads to uncover hidden potentials. The topic of Lean Culture is also addressed in a process and cross-organizational manner. The theoretical understanding is supplemented by the explanation of Lean tools such as the 5S methods, value stream mapping, one-piece flow, pull principle and set-up time optimization. True to the principle “learning by doing”, the learning content is internalized through a simulation game and the effects of lean are closely experienced in a factory setting. Simulations and case studies complete the seminar.

Who Should Attend?

Employees and Management that are starting, want to boost and sustainably implement improvement processes in production.

Previous knowledge is not required. Because of its heavy reliance on the simulation games, the seminar is also suitable for employees that have so far only dealt with the theoretical principles of Lean. The focus on a practical teaching experience and towards the implementation will also give these participants new ideas.

Contents at a Glance:

  • Introduction of the development of production systems, presentation of elements of  Lean Production System
